For over the past 20 years, The M.e.t. has brought Tulsa a variety of events. All these events are for the community – they provide recycling services, education and honor local citizens.

2014 Spring Events
A comprehensive list of all the environmental events going on throughout the Tulsa area. The M.e.t. is excited to promote these groups and organizations that help us pursue our goal of a more sustainable community. If you know of something that should be added, contact us!

Enviro Expo
Since 1999, The M.e.t. has hosted Tulsa’s Official Earth Day Party, Enviro Expo. Live music and informational booths by local green organizations draw more than 4,000 people to Main Street in downtown Tulsa each year.

Fairgrounds Pollutant Collection
Twice a year, we hold a household hazardous waste collection at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds. It gives Tulsa area residents a free opportunity to rid their homes of dangerous lawn and cleaning chemicals, auto fluids, medications and other materials. This event has occurred over more than 40 times in the past 20 years and every chemical we get is a victory!

America Recycles Day Banquet
Each November, on America Recycles Day (November 15th), we honor local recycling heroes with a banquet reception and awards ceremony. This November 2013 will be our 13th year in a row to celebrate with Oklahoma!
