DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Event

In 2019, Tulsa County residents were prescribed almost 40 Million opioid pills (OBNDD PMP 2021). People die every day in the United States from Opiate Drug overdoses including prescription pain reliver, synthetic opioids, and heroin (CDC 2020). Prescription medications can also be dangerous to the environment by releasing harmful chemicals. In order to protect citizens and the Earth, it is important to dispose of your medications properly. To do so, you can come to one of our locations this coming event to get rid of your medications for free. Some locations also take sharp’s. Please see the list of locations to find out which ones will do so. We cannot accept inhalers, liquids, or medical marijuana.

This event will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10 to 2. Bring your unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs for safe and proper disposal.

There are 12 locations where  you can bring your prescription medications:

  8. Walmart Neighborhood Market 1300 E. Albany St. Broken Arrow
  9. The M.e.t. Recycling Center 3495 S. Sheridan Rd.
  10. Elk’s Lodge Tulsa 5335 S. Harvard Ave.
  11. Sand Springs Police Department 602 W. Morrow Rd.
  12. Reasor’s 11815 E. 86th St. N. Owasso
